Across the Yucatan the signal is reliable in the towns, strong around Merida's center and plaza, through Valladolid and along the busier coastal spots. It falls away on the long jungle highways, at remote cenotes and out at the quieter ruins away from the main sites. Get the eSIM activated before you arrive so you are online as you land, and keep your home number on for calls. Tip: download maps and your cenote and ruin locations while you are still in town.
