Three signs your device is ready
New models launch all the time. If yours isn't listed, these three checks confirm it in under a minute.
-
An Add eSIM option
Open Settings and look for Add eSIM or Add Data Plan. If it's there, your device has an eSIM.
-
Carrier-unlocked
The eSIM must be free to join any network. A phone bought outright is almost always unlocked.
-
An EID number
Dial *#06#. If an EID shows next to the IMEI, your device has an eSIM ready to activate.
Device compatibility questions
Possibly. Our list covers the most common models, but new devices launch all the time. The quickest check is to look for an Add eSIM option in your settings. If it's there and your device is carrier-unlocked, a Viasimo eSIM will work.
If the Add eSIM option is missing or greyed out on a supported model, your device is likely locked to a carrier. Contact your carrier to request an unlock, then try again.
An EID is the unique identifier of your device's built-in eSIM. Seeing an EID in your settings (or by dialling *#06#) confirms your device has an eSIM you can activate.
Yes. Most eSIM-capable phones support Dual SIM, so you can keep your home number on the physical SIM and use the Viasimo eSIM for data while you travel.
